Debra McCracken, O.D. is a Florida-certified physician and has practiced at Katzen Eye Care & Laser Center since 1998. Dr. McCracken received a Bachelor of Science degree from Clemson University and a Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry. She also received a Master of Science degree in Physiological Optics from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. In addition, Dr. McCracken has completed specialized training in laser vision correction for patient care and management.
At Katzen Eye Care & Laser Center, Dr. McCracken specializes in the education and all aspects of care of refractive surgery patients. She also performs comprehensive eye examinations and assists in the management of patients enrolled as FDA study participants.
Dr. McCracken is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Florida Optometric Association. She is also the author of research articles which have appeared in the Journal of Ocular Pharmacology. As a member of Students in Optometric Service to Humanity, Dr. McCracken has traveled to Mexico and Jamaica to provide eye care to populations in need.
